About Us
Alfa Telecom was founded by a group of amateur radio operators from the State of Qatar, including A71MA/ A71XX, Sheikh Mohamed A. Aziz T J Al Thani, and A71UN/A71BI, Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed A Al-Shahri, in 1997. The company was established for importing and supplying commercial and amateur radio equipment, initially focusing on the State of Qatar and later expanding its services and supply to the entire Gulf States. This has allowed us to merge business with passion for the hobby. Since its formation, Alfa Telecom has been serving the needs of the Qatari market with high-quality HF/VHF/UHF radio equipment and devices.
Alfa Telecom has a strong team of technical staff, including electronics engineers, technicians, installers and riggers, all with extensive experience and expertise in the telecommunications field. We are committed to maintaining high standards in both our products and workmanship. Our quality assurance procedures ensure that we consistently deliver high levels of product and installation quality.
Initially, the company was focused on trading, however, over time, we began placing more emphasis on the installation of radio equipment, as well as servicing and repairs. We have a showroom, a well established and fully equipped electronic service center and a mechanical workshop. This allows us to repair over thousands pieces of equipment annually, providing flexibility and the highest quality service.
In 2002, the company diversified its operations and partnered with locally based, well reputed civil construction enterprises. This collaboration enables us to provide comprehensive solutions, ranging from surveying to testing and commissioning of various telecom projects. Today, Alfa Telecom is technically associated with major telecommunications product manufacturers worldwide. Nearly three decades later, Alfa Telecom has emerged as a leader in Qatar’s telecommunications sector and continues to be a solid performer in the industry.
